Pennsylvania Overview
Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission (PFBC) requires registration for ALL watercraft on Pennsylvania waters — including non-motorized kayaks and canoes. Pennsylvania's 2-year registration term is a good middle ground — not as expensive as annual renewals, not as long a commitment as Ohio's 3-year term.
All watercraft on Pennsylvania waters must be registered with PFBC. Non-motorized vessels: $22 for 2 years. Register online at fishandboat.com, by mail, or at any PFBC license agent (most sporting goods stores).
Pennsylvania Registration Fees (2-Year Term)

| 20 ft – under 30 ft | $65 |
| 30 ft and over | $90 |
| Personal Watercraft | $45 |
Sales tax: 6% collected by PFBC or county agent at registration.
